Arnica is a perennial with long, heart-shaped leaves, which bear yellow flowers on 8”-20” long stems [21]. The rootstalk produces a cluster of leaves the first year and a flowering stem with one to several flowering heads per stem during the second year. Arnica is listed as Threatened and Endangered by the U.S. federal government [22].
