Small-flowered Heuchera, is a tightly clumping evergreen perennial with round, scalloped leaves in clumps from 1’-2’, which bears a 2’ spike of tiny, bell-shaped flowers ranging from white to pink. Foliage is typically green with accents of reddish brown and purple. The delicate flowers attract hummingbirds.

It likes full to part shade in hotter climates, will tolerate full sun near the coast, and prefers moderate to regular water with good drainage [16].

Heuchera is especially well-suited for use as a groundcover under oaks. Plant with ferns, Galium odoratum (Sweet Woodruff), Iris douglasiana (Douglas Iris), and Ribes species.

Several hybrids bear leaves with colors ranging from bright green to golden brown to rich purple, such as ‘Palace Purple,’ ‘Amethyst’, ‘Amber Waves’, and ‘Martha Roderick’.
