Daniel Nicholson is a naturalist and horticulturalist who has lived close to nature in the Sierra foothills throughout his adult life. This time in the forest allows him an in depth understanding of the mushrooms and plants of the Sierra Nevada. He is currently developing a sustainable organic farm, maintaining the educational and restoration efforts with the Yuba Watershed Institute, and teaching natural history classes.
