California Bay Seasoning

Collect leaves year round.

  • Add California Bay leaves to soups as a spice, using 1⁄2 the amount recommended in conventional recipes.

NOTE Commercial Bay leaves are from the Bay Laurel tree, Laurus nobilis, native to Asia Minor and cultivated throughout the Mediterranean region.

I’m so grateful to learn about the measurement adjustment for California Bay. I have noticed it is much stronger. I love this tree, I named my son, Bay after it. Thanks for sharing!
